KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A Missouri bride-to-be says one of the reasons she and her fiancé picked Dec. 12 for their wedding date is because she has a forgetful husband.

Kristen Fowles says hopefully her soon-to-be-husband will always remember their anniversary.

The couple is getting married on 12/12/12.

Dec. 12, 2012 is the last triple number sequence of the century.

According to David’s Bridal, more than 7,500 brides will marry Wednesday, compared to just 485 on December 12, 2011.

The memorable date isn’t the only reason Fowles and her groom picked the day. She also says good things happy to the couple on Wednesdays.

According to David’s Bridal, having a wedding on a weekday is a growing trend as couples look for budget-friendly options and flexibility.

Iconic dates are also a trend in the U.S. More than 65,000 couples tied to knot on July 7, 2007 (7/7/07), according to employees at David's.
