Jobs.

They've been on the minds of Americans for years now. They were the focus of our most recent presidential election. They're what everyone wants.

And while the unemployment rate dropped to 7.7 percent in November, according to the United States Department of Labor, some J-O-B-S are just better than others.

The U.S. News & World Report put together a list of valuable 2013 career fields for that very reason.

Here's their top 10:

  1. Dentist
  2. Registered Nurse
  3. Pharmacist
  4. Computer Systems Analyst
  5. Physician
  6. Database Administrator
  7. Software Developer
  8. Physical Therapist
  9. Web Developer
  10. Dental Hygienist

  • 10-Year Growth Percentage (10%)
  • Median Salary (30%)
  • Job Prospects (20%)
  • Employment Rate (20%)
  • Stress Level (5%)
  • Work-Life Balance (5%)

And for those just breaking into the job market, U.S. News has you covered there too.
