A major bicycle company is recalling 12,000 bikes.
Specialized Bicycle Components Inc. announced the recall Tuesday after receiving four reports of front forks breaking, "resulting in facial fractures, head and shoulder injuries and cuts," according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
The recall involves some 2008 and 2009 men's and women's Globe bicycles.
The company issued another recall for faulty brake levers earlier this month, an expansion from an initial recall in April.
The full list of Specialized safety notices can be found on the company website.
Concerned customers may also contact Specialized toll-free at (877) 808-8154 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. PT Monday through Friday.
