Can the Point 'n Paint really paint a room in less than an hour?

Karen Schneider was ready, willing and eager to put the Point 'n Paint to the test.

Karen thought "well a new painting tool. I might as well try it may make my life easier."

Once we got through the instructions, the first challenge, we moved onto sorting out all the parts and pieces.

It has 2 different pads and there's a special pole.

The Mini Point 'n Paint  works in small crevices.

Karen says that she's "glad it has the extending rod since I'm only 5'1"."

With the Point 'n Paint in hand, Karen was ready to work. Her husband Don Schifflet jumped in, keeping the instructions handy.

Don says, "It says don't overload this paint to avoid dripping.  It says to roll the point and paint over the roller."

Karen sure made it look easy.

"Actually it’s working pretty good! It's going on pretty smoothly,"said Karen.

From the wall, to covering the crevices around the light switch, Karen found the mini-Point 'n Paint worked, but it wasn't perfect.

Karen said "It's not making a clean edge, I think I would definitely use painters tape to use this, but I mean I like it. It goes on really smooth."

Next we had the extended rod, the big point and paint, and plenty of problems.

Karen says, "Oh, that's not good. Looks what it does and I'm putting a lot of pressure on it, no it spins. It's not totally getting the edge of the wood. I'm making swirlies on the wall."

Forget the rod, and the big pad.  For Karen, this was more trouble than what it was worth.

Karen says, "It pivots in such a loose way you don't have any control."

As you could imagine, Karen wasn't totally thrilled with the Point 'n Paint.

"I would give this an F, It just spins and spins and spin. This is just silly."

Looking at the finished product for one coat, the mini Point 'n Paint dried pretty evenly.

Considering that and the ease of the smaller pad, Karen decided not to give the entire contraption failing marks.

Karen sums it up by saying, " I like the pads they hold a good amount of paint, they go on pretty smooth. I like the pan. I'd give this a B, and this an A."
