TULSA - A local company announced layoffs Tuesday that would leave 70 Tulsa workers without a job.

Samson, a privately held exploration and production energy company based out of Tulsa, will be eliminating 10 percent of its workforce, according to a company spokesperson.

Officials say the layoffs are market-driven and point to a 25 percent decline in the price of natural gas.
