Cartoons are invading Facebook.

It's the result of a campaign to end violence against children.

According to a Facebook page , supporters want people to change their profile picture to their favorite childhood cartoon and ask their friends to do the same.

"There should be no human faces on Facebook, but an invasion of memories to raise awareness to end Violence Against Children," a statement on the group's Facebook page said.

Supporters ask that people keep their cartoon profile pictures until Monday, Dec 6.
