TULSA - The Tulsa Police Department has confirmed the city's first murder of 2013.

Police and medics cordoned off the area surrounding a home in the 1800 block of north St. Louis Avenue.

Police dispatch received a call of shots fired just after 4 p.m. Friday, followed by reports of someone lying in the street.

The shooting victim, a 31-year-old Ronnie Stanley, died shortly after being transported to a local hospital.

Detectives found several bullet casings on the ground beside him. They don't know yet how many shots were fired.

Authorities said some uncooperative witnesses have been taken in for questioning. Police are calling it a street battle.

No arrests have been made and no motive has been determined.
