TAHLEQUAH, Okla. - A Green Country grandmother is facing drug charges after a toddler wound up hospitalized with severe burns.
Officials with the Cherokee County Sheriff"s Office say a 27-month-old girl arrived at W. W. Hastings Hospital in Tahlequah Friday. Doctors determined her burns were likely caused by meth-making chemicals.
Officials say deputies interviewed the child's mother and grandmother at the toddler's home, and after serving search warrants later that day they discovered a meth lab and other meth-making materials.
Brenda Vann, the toddler's grandmother, was arrested for child endangerment and meth complaints. She has since been released on $75,000 bond.
