TULSA - The Tulsa Food Guy shares his recipe for this delicious dip. Try it as an hors d'oeuvre when the gang is over for football.

Ingredients:

  • 8 ounce salmon filet
  • Cajun seasoning
  • 2 cups cream cheese
  • 1/2 red onion (minced)
  • 1 tablespoons minced garlic (or about 2 cloves)
  • Dill weed, salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 lemon
  • Crackers of your own preference

Season salmon filet with Cajun seasonings and lemon juice.  Smoke on smoker or grill using wood chips to give it a smoky flavor.

Sit cream cheese out for about an hour to soften.

In a bowl, combine cream cheese, onion, garlic and juice from half a lemon, stirring thoroughly.  Mix in dill weed, salt and pepper to taste.  Crumble smoked salmon filet into cream cheese mixture and stir until evenly mixed.

Serve on crackers.
