“I read a whole bunch of bits and pieces over the years, obviously from the fan magazines and the rest of the stuff, and I just wanted to give a little more insight into what's happening in my personal life.” - Davy Jones

We all collect magazines and let them pile up in our bathrooms, kitchen, living room and office. But how often do you purge those famous recyclables? O.C.D. Experience recommends disposing of your magazines every time the next issue comes in. Too drastic? Perhaps keep up to two issues of one particular title at a time if you so choose.

If you have a problem letting go of your magazines, don’t worry just rip and scan! Rip out the front page of the article you care so much about, along with the story you want to save, and scan it into a folder on your computer that is titled MAGAZINE ARTICLES. Take the time to rip and scan any article that is a life changer and toss that magazine.

For cooking magazines the same thing applies. When you rip out a recipe, scan it and save it in a folder titled RECIPES. This folder will also have a few, but not many subfolders, such as Chicken, Pasta, Soups, Desserts, Vegetarian…you get the idea. You can save online recipes to these folders as well which will make searching for those favorite recipes that you want to make a cinch.

As my old friend Davy Jones said above, giving insight is a vital part of getting to know anyone and their process. We, at Organize & Create Discipline, always want to give you as much insight as possible to make your life stress free and simple. So, GIVE US SOME INSIGHT! We want to hear from YOU! Tell us what organizational questions cross your mind. Email Organize & Create Discipline at ocd@ocdexperience.com and maybe your organizational challenge will be discussed next week.
