TULSA - Halloween has become the second most celebrated holiday during the year and picking the perfect costume is essential.
We all want to have the best costume this Halloween, and the best, most clever costumes are the current ones. Here are a few tips to help you create that last-minute costume that every one will remember.
Think of your favorite TV show or movie. Characters from “True Blood,” “Mad Men,” "Avatar," "Glee," "Karate Kid" or "Ironman" are great choices, and are even better if you have a group of you to parade around.
And don’t forget about reality television’s most memorable characters. See what you can find at thrift stores, and better yet, see what you can find around the house or from friends. Look online at pictures and see what you can put together.
Think politics. With next year being a presidential election year, there are plenty of costume opportunities.
If you don’t want to dress up as Barack Obama or Sarah Palin or Mitt Romney, just be patriotic. Pull out some 4th of July paraphernalia and go to town. American flags and red-white-and-blue face paint; be ridiculous, it’s Halloween!
Remember, homemade Halloween costumes are much more memorable and much less pricey than the store bought ones. Check out these online sites and start creating your own Halloween personality!
