SAND SPRINGS, Okla. - A man whose pit bull mauled another man Thursday was arrested after fleeing the scene.

Police say Gary Brashier's dog attacked the man, who managed to crawl to a neighbor, who was then forced to stab the animal to death.

Having 11 outstanding warrants, Brashier ran away shortly thereafter, according to police.

The 50-year-old was brought back into custody just before 2 p.m.

Investigators are still determining whether Brashier was "housing a violent animal".
