Sapulpa police officer David Jones is a contestant on season 14 of The Biggest Loser. Each week, he will send us his thoughts after Monday's episode. His starting weight was 307 pounds. Images from the show can be seen in our photo gallery at http://bit.ly/tbl14

Well it goes without saying that Monday night’s episode was a big one for me, and I thought that NBC’s treatment of that night’s episode was done extremely well.

It’s strange, but being in the know about how it was going to end didn’t lessen the anticipation of my where are they now segment.  But first, a look at the night’s events.

As usual at the beginning of the episode we met up with Alison, this time in the gym.

There we found her standing in front of three dice bearing photographs of our first day on the ranch and did we look fat! Alison explained the game, saying that a roll of the die would determine which of us would be the person whose weight would count at the weigh in for the whole team. Then she said we wouldn’t know who that person would be until the weigh in.

Leading by example was the focus of the week.

White team member Sunny set up a gym routine and put some of her classmates through the paces, while Biingo created an “activity club” that included several of his classmates that are to meet once a week and participate in sports. Lindsey had a big day. She held a pep rally at her school where bullying was the topic, but to her surprise, Dolvett had recruited pop star Cody Simpson to meet with the student body to discuss the topic. He also gave an impromptu concert at the assembly.

The reward challenge was set up in a warehouse and the die came in to play again where one person was selected to battle for the whole team. Gina wanted the task for the blue team and I rolled the die, and sure enough her face came up. She battled against Danni for the white team and Jackson for the red. Once again Danni ruled the day and won the much anticipated “letters from home” reward.

Ah, the last chance workout.

Everyone needs to understand that every last chance workout gets harder than the last. And this time, Bob wasn’t happy with Alex’s sweat production during that workout so he really pushed us hard until he was satisfied with her efforts, and for the first time at the gym, I almost lost my cookies.

Finally, the weigh in.

Blue team walked in still five strong, but that’s not how it ended.  After the dice were rolled Joe, Danni, and Jeff represented their teams.  And Danni came out on top, but Joe lost enough weight to beat Jeff. My team had already discussed with me earlier, and Michael alluded during the elimination that once I got rid of my brace, I would be a force to deal with.

So I knew my time was up, but at that point in the game, going home was something I had made myself ready to do. So I left the ranch with a renewed faith, attitude, and drive. I got home to a world of positive support, which continues today. I am approaching the 100 pound loss mark and have full confidence that this journey will continue in this direction. I look forward to the finale, and to showing America what I’ve done at home.
