Tulsa native Jamar Rogers did it again Monday night on NBC's hit show "The Voice."

There was no stopping the vocal powerhouse as he battled it out with friend Jamie Lono, singing Foreigner's "I Want To Know What Love Is."

Just like the blind auditions, Jamar wowed the coaches, and more importantly, he wowed his own coach and personal idol Cee-Lo Green.

"I know your story, it's a story of redemption," said Cee-Lo.  "I admire your perseverance.  You display a power and a confidence."

In the end, Cee-Lo chose Jamar as the winner of last night's battle round, advancing Jamar to the live performances in Hollywood.

Jamar joined 2NEWS Anchors Deana Silk and Justin Wilfon Tuesday morning via Skype to talk about last night's battle, the preparations for the performance and how he felt when Cee-Lo chose him.

Watch the video above for Jamar's interview.
