Oh well, at least she won the Oscar!

Actress Jennifer Lawrence suffered a "walking malfunction" when she tripped on the stairs on her way to accept her Academy Award.

The 22-year-old actress won for her role in "Silver Linings Playbook." 

On the red carpet. Lawrence said she likes to have a good meal before hitting the Oscars, as she's recalled grabbing a Philly cheesesteak before slipping into her slinky Calvin Klein gown in 2011.

But this year, she had to arrive with an empty stomach.

"Today was stressful and I had no time to eat, and I am starving," Lawrence told E!'s Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet. "The show is so long. Everybody in my family got ready at my house, I felt like Steve Martin in 'Father of the Bride,' watching all the furniture being moved around."

This year, the best actress winner was radiant in a white Dior Haute Couture gown.

"It's just been an amazing ride, this is such a passion project for all of us," she said of her movie, "Silver Linings Playbook." "The way audiences have reacted is amazing, and to be able to share this with each other ... it couldn't be better."

Lawrence won the Academy Award for best actress for her performance as a young widower in "Silver Linings Playbook."

It's the first Oscar for Lawrence, who was also nominated for "Winter's Bone" in 2011. It's the first Oscar for "Silver Linings Playbook" on the night.

The other nominees Sunday night were Emmanuelle Riva ("Amour"), Quvenzhane Wallis ("Beasts of the Southern Wild"), Jessica Chastain ("Zero Dark Thirty") and Naomi Watts ("The Impossible").

The 85th Academy Awards aired live from the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles with host Seth MacFarlane.
