DALLAS - After a lengthy stay in a Texas hospital that involved a stroke and subsequent brain surgery, Randy Travis has been released from the facility.
The 54-year-old country singer was discharged from Baylor Heart Hospital in Dallas and checked into a physical therapy rehabilitation center shortly thereafter.
“Thanks to all the fans and friends for your continued prayers and support as Randy continues on the road to recovery,” said Travis’ fiancée, Mary Davis, in a press release.
Travis was admitted to a McKinney hospital in critical condition in early July with a presumptive cardiomyopathy and congestive heart failure. Travis had been dealing with a viral upper respiratory infection for three weeks leading up to his hospitalization, according to his doctors.
