Veteran TV actor MALACHI THRONE has died at the age of 84.
He reportedly passed away on Wednesday night (13Mar13), but few other details were available as WENN went to press.
The news was announced on Facebook.com by his actor pal Jim Beaver - in a post on Thursday (14Mar13) he wrote, "My good friend Malachi Throne died last night. One of the finest actors and finest people I've been fortunate enough to know."
Throne is perhaps best known for playing Robert Wagner's boss on It Takes a Thief and False-Face on hit TV series Batman. He was also the voice of The Keeper on Star Trek.
In addition, he had a number of guest roles on The Six Million Dollar Man, Hawaii Five-O, Melrose Place, and Mission: Impossible.
The actor was an active member of the Theater West Company in Los Angeles, and stage bosses have since paid tribute to Throne with a post on their official website, which reads, "Theater West says goodbye to our friend and colleague Malachi Throne."
