Actor ANDREW GARFIELD had insurance bosses rethinking his mode of transport during THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN shoot, after he crashed his rented car on the first day of shooting.
The Brit prefers driving scooter to cars, but was banned from riding the two-wheeled vehicles while he was filming the Spider-Man prequel.
He tells U.S. talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, "I feel safer (on a scooter)... When I got Spider-Man, the studio said, 'You can't ride a scooter anymore. It's dangerous...' so they hired me a car and I got in an accident on the first day. I got rear-ended into the middle of a big... intersection. I was stopped and someone (hit me)."
