Michael impresses doctors with quick recovery

Pop veteran GEORGE MICHAEL has impressed doctors with the speed of his recovery following a potentially-deadly bout of pneumonia last year (11).

The Faith hitmaker was hospitalized in Vienna, Austria at the end of November (11) after he was diagnosed with the killer lung infection. He spent four weeks under doctors' care, before returning home just in time for the Christmas holidays.

Michael spent the festive season in his native London, but he's currently continuing his recovery on a tropical vacation - and the star is defying doctors with his health progress.

In a series of posts on his Twitter.com page, he writes, "My tracheostomy (sic) scar is healing nicely in the sun, was looking a bit Bride of Chucky for a while.

"Spoke to doctors before I came away and they told me my recovery is way quicker than can usually be expected so I'm happy as Larry."
