Kim Kardashian's divorce case going to trial in May

Reality TV star KIM KARDASHIAN's long-running divorce battle with estranged husband KRIS HUMPHRIES is set to go to trial on 6 May (13).

The socialite, who is pregnant with rapper boyfriend Kanye West's child, filed to end her 72-day marriage to basketball player Humphries in October, 2011, and the former couple has been locked in a bitter legal wrangle ever since.

The sportsman, who is convinced Kardashian used their televised nuptials as a publicity stunt to boost her earnings, is seeking an annulment, but, in an interesting twist, his lawyer Marshall Waller quit this week (begs11Feb13) after reportedly finding no proof of fraud to back up his client's claims.

And on Friday (15Feb13) Superior Court Judge Scott Gordon ruled Humphries had been given sufficient time to prepare his case and set a date for the divorce trial, according to TMZ.com.

Kardashian, who is due in July (13), will be hoping her divorce woes are behind her when she becomes a first-time mom.
