Rockers GREEN DAY have given gamers exclusive access to their new song TROUBLEMAKER by teaming up with Angry Birds developers to release the track.

The American Idiot hitmakers partnered with executives behind the popular strategy game, which sees a flock of birds trying to retrieve their stolen eggs from a pack of pigs, to create a spin-off version, that will enable each user to unlock the group's new tune upon completion of all 10 levels.

Each of the band's members - Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tre Cool - have been re-imagined as the game's piggy villains, right down to their rocker hairstyles, and the Grammy winners cannot wait for fans to check out their latest venture.

Frontman Armstrong tells Billboard.com, "It's such an addictive game that when we first started playing it we couldn't stop."

Angry Birds Friends is set to launch on social networking site Facebook.com this autumn (12).
