Amy Macdonald suffers seizure

Scottish singer AMY MACDONALD has been hospitalized in Switzerland after suffering a seizure.

The 25-year-old star was taken to the emergency room after she collapsed at her hotel in Zurich on Saturday (01Dec12).

She has called off a number of scheduled gigs to allow her time to recover, and is flying back to her native Scotland on Monday (03Dec12) for further medical testing.

Macdonald took to her Twitter.com page to apologize for the cancellations, telling fans, "I'm so so sorry but we have had to postpone all of my gigs next week. I had a very bad seizure this morning and I have spent the whole day in hospital in Zurich.

"I'm feeling better now but have been advised to do absolutely nothing. I hope you all understand. I promise to make it up to you all in the New Year."

Her management team adds, "She is in good spirits considering what she has been through. Tests will be ongoing... in Scotland."
