The violence began July 14 when two people were killed at a midtown Tulsa Best Buy store. One of the victims was an innocent bystander shopping inside the store when he was struck by a stray bullet.

Then, early Friday morning a gunman opened fire in a crowded movie theater in Aurora, Colorado. When the shooting stopped, more than 70 people had been shot, 12 of them died.

To the victims' families of these tragic shootings, and on behalf of the people of Green Country, we at Channel 2 Works for You would like to express our deepest sympathies.
