BARTLESVILLE - A Wann, Okla man is in jail after eluding Oklahoma Highway Patrol and racking up a slew of misdemeanor offenses.
A search for Travis Cecil Hunter, 30, lasted a week, after an OHP trooper stopped him on traffic charges in Washington County.
OHP Public Information Officer Cpt. George Brown said Hunter left the scene and a warrant for Hunter’s arrest was issued May 23 for eluding.
On May 31, investigators received information that Hunter was in the Oklahoma City area. OHP officers were able to locate him, take him into custody and return him to Washington County
Hunter was arrested on complaints of endangering others while eluding or attempting to elude a police officer, driving with a license revoked, failure to display current tag, operating a vehicle with defective equipment or unsafe conditions, obstructing drivers view and miscellaneous vehicle equipment.
He is being held on a $500,000 bond and has pled not guilty. His court hearing is set for June 21.
