BARTLESVILLE, Okla. - A teen boy charged with plotting a shooting spree at Bartlesville High School last year appeared before a judge Wednesday for arraignment.
Sammie Chavez, 18, was arrested Dec. 14, 2012 after police received a tip he was planning a shooting at the school.
A search of his home uncovered a gun, drugs and writings.
The teen was deemed fit to stand trial after undergoing a court-ordered competency hearing.
Chavez entered a not guilty plea Wednesday. He remains in the Washington County Jail on $1 million bond.
The next court date is scheduled for July 22.
