BARTLESVILLE, Okla. - Film-makers for the movie “August: Osage County” to begin filming next week in northeastern Oklahoma are seeking for more sets of wheels to put on their movie reels.
Casting directors for the movie starring Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts are asking for sedans and pickup trucks from the year 2000 or older.
The John Wells-directed movie, based on an award-winning play by Tulsa-writer Tracy Letts, is a story about the dysfunctional Weston family which comes together when their alcoholic patriarch goes missing.
According to the Freihofer Casting, on the list of acceptable vehicles are pickup trucks with or without camper shells, two or four-door cars, station wagons and older SUVs. Convertibles and muscle cars are not needed — nor are bright red or white vehicles.
The casting company said the majority of the vehicle needs will be on one weekday in the period between Sept. 24 and Oct. 5.
Those interested in having their vehicle appear in the movie should immediately send an email to submissions@freihofercasting.com with the words “AOC Vehicles” in the subject line. The email should include a recent headshot, a photograph of the vehicle under 200kb in size, vehicle information including the year, make and model, a resume and all contact information including email address, phone number and mailing address.
Those selected to appear in the project will be notified by email.
