BARTLESVILLE, Okla. - A Dewey man found guilty in February of murdering his stepdaughter was sentenced Wednesday to life in prison.
Marcus Mitchell and two others were charged with the death of 15-month-old Emma Warmbrodt , who was found dead at home in 2012. An autopsy determined Warmbrodt died from blunt force trauma.

Prosecutors said Mitchell beat Warmbrodt to death.
He was found guilty of first-degree murder, three counts of child neglect, possession of a controlled dangerous substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. He was acquitted of two other drug charges.
The toddler's mother, Ashley Williamson, and Mitchell's mother, Juanchellee Fitch , were also charged. Williamson pleaded guilty to child neglect. Fitch was given a suspended sentence for child neglect and accessory after the fact.
