Officials told 2NEWS they got a call shortly before 2:30 a.m., about “an unknown problem” at a home W. 600 Road in rural Wann.
When they arrived to the home, deputies spoke with 33-year-old Carrie Ann Scott and asked what was wrong as they noticed she was behaving erratically, Washington County Undersheriff Steve Johnson told 2NEWS.
“She thought she had had done something bad, that she shot somebody in the head,” he said. The somebody she had identified as friend.
As deputies then began the search for the man, looking in a shed on her property they found a one-pot- method meth lab in a plastic sack and immediately called in the drug task force.
A continued search for the alleged victim turned up a man with a gunshot wound to the head – the wound a result of a .22 caliber bullet grazing.
Johnson told 2NEWS the man refused to press charges.
Deputies however arrested Scott on charges of assault with a deadly weapon and assault and battery on an officer. More meth related charges are expected, said Johnson.
