BARTLESVILLE, Okla. - What would have been a three-way race for one seat on the Bartlesville City Council is now only a two-way, according to election board officials.
According to Washington County Election Board Secretary Yvonne House, Randy Rickman who had filed Wednesday to run for the Ward 3 seat against Lee L. Lane III and incumbent Tom Gorman withdrew his candidacy
on Friday.
The race was one of two revealed when the filing period for candidacy in the Nov. 6 council elections ended Wednesday.
The other race is between former councilor Eddie Mason and Allen Bretz who both filed for the Ward 4 seat.
Incumbent council member Ted D. Lockin filed for the Ward 1 seat, incumbent Mike McGrew for the Ward 2 seat and incumbent Dale Copeland for the Ward 5 seat.
