NOWATA, Okla. - A Delaware woman is dead after she fell asleep at the wheel Tuesday on U.S. Highway 60, seven miles west of Nowata.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, 48-year-old Deborah Feeback died at the scene from the injuries.

The accident occurred shortly after noon when she was eastbound in her 2001 Pontiac and fell asleep, according to her passenger 73-year-old John McCutcheon. It was at that point the vehicle crossed the center of the road, departed the road to the left and then went to the right, struck a fence, rolled one-and-a-half times and came to rest on its top.

McCutcheon was transported to Jane Phillips where he was admitted with a head injury.
