BARTLESVILLE, Okla. - Crime Stoppers of Bartlesville and Washington County has moved Friday night's Harlem Ambassadors basketball game from the previously-announced Mueller Sports Complex on the Oklahoma Wesleyan University campus to the gym at Wesleyan Christian School.
The men’s and women’s teams will now host games at 4 and 8 p.m. Friday
The event Friday is an opportunity for Crime Stoppers to raise essential funds. Board of Directors Chairman Charlie Taraboletti says it’s vital that Crime Stoppers has the funds it needs to be able to offer rewards.
A local non-profit agency made up of community members, Crime Stoppers is a partnership between the community, the media and local law enforcement.
Crime Stoppers offers the public a means of reporting crime while guaranteeing anonymity for those reporting it. In the event of an arrest, Crime Stoppers will pay a confidential cash reward of up to $1,000 for the information.
Crime Stoppers has had particular success in gaining tips relating to Bartlesville Public Schools and Tri-County Tech. One particular tip led to an arrest of a person who had a gun on school property at Tri-County Tech.
