BARTLESVILLE, Okla. - Bartlesville police have arrested a man they believe murdered his 81-year-old grandmother.
Bartlesville Police Capt. Jay Hastings told 2NEWS that police were called to 4700 Dartmouth around 2 p.m. after concerned calls from neighbors.
Mail had been piling up, authorities say.
Police say 81-year-old Clara Hammer was found dead near her front door.
Around an hour later, authorities found Hammer's grandson, 20-year-old Brandon Capps, in the woman's missing vehicle. Capps was arrested just before 9 p.m.
Capps is charged with first-degree murder, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, grand larceny, selling stolen property and knowingly concealing stolen property.
