BARTLESVILLE, Okla. - Bartlesville police are investigating a string of burglaries that hit four downtown businesses overnight.
Those struck were the Plaza 66 convenience store and Super Six Hair, both on Adams Boulevard, Daily Grind Sandwich Expess, on Frank Phillips Boulevard, and Poindexter Liquor on Choctaw Avenue.
The burglaries were reported to police between 3:30 a.m. and 8 a.m. Friday morning, some reports saying bricks or concrete blocks had been through the front windows.
One business, Plaza 66, reported its cash register and cigarettes stolen.
According to Bartlesville Police Capt. Jay Hastings, witnesses told police they saw a man wearing dark clothing and a hooded jacket shortly before 5 a.m. when they heard the front door glass breaking at the Plaza 66 store.
