BARTLESVILLE, Okla. - Highway patrol troopers say a Bartlesville man was killed when his pickup failed to negotiate a curve and crashed about 2 miles west of Bartlesville around 1:45 a.m. Sunday.

Officials say Christopher J. Carpenter, 35, was driving on a county road in Osage County when his pickup left the roadway and rolled two and a half times, ejecting Carpenter from the vehicle.

Carpenter was pronounced dead at the scene.

There were no passengers in the pickup.

Troopers say Carpenter was driving too fast for the curve.
