OKLAHOMA CITY - Bartlesville was named Friday among 20 finalists for the Oklahoma Main Street Center's annual awards for several categories, including The Community of the Year Award.
Each year, the Community of the Year Award honors the top Main Street Community in the state based on quality assurance points it earns throughout the previous year.
Other Oklahoma cities up for the award include: Enid, Hobart, Laverne, Newkirk, Pauls Valley, Ponca City, Prague, Sulphur and Woodward.
Bartlesville was also nominated in the categories of:
- Best Creative Fundraising Effort – Historic Ghost Walk
- Outstanding Web Presence – What’s Up Downtown E-Newsletter
- Best Interior Design Project – Andrea Mann Photography
Each award category is a part of the “four points” in the Main Street Approach – organization, promotion, economic restructuring and design.
Bartlesville will be recognized at the 24th annual Main Street Awards banquet, May 7, at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum, where the winners will be announced.
