"It's an honor to help folks solve the problems they haven't been able to solve themselves." Pete Knutson has worked at channel 2 for more than 16 years, but just recently became the station's newest Problem Solver.
Pete came to Tulsa from Minnesota to attend Oral Roberts University. After a couple of internships at KJRH, he knew this is where he wanted to work. He's won several awards here, but says there's nothing like helping people deal with a potentially life changing problem.
Pete recalls a recent situation, in which a retired couple was scared they'd have to sell their home to pay a $10,000 medical bill. We were able to research the problem, and found out they didn't have to pay that bill after all. "Seeing the relief in their eyes, hearing it in their voice, makes it all worth while."
Pete's wife's name is Leslie. They have a son, Camden, who was born in 2005.
