TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Ben Uzoh scored 20 points and Justin Hurtt added 16 as Tulsa beat Florida International 81-49 on Sunday, dropping Isiah Thomas to 0-3 to start his college coaching career.

FIU had a miserable shooting performance and during two timeouts midway through the second half, Thomas appeared to be motioning to Tulsa coach Doug Wojcik to ask when he was going to pull his starters with the Golden Hurricane (2-0) up by more than 30 points.

Wojcik, who was putting Uzoh back into the game with just under 9 minutes to play, looked back at Thomas and shrugged his shoulders.

Wojcik pulled 7-footer Jerome Jordan shortly thereafter and Uzoh with more than 5 minutes remaining. He had emptied his entire bench with 3 minutes left.

Marvin Roberts led FIU with 18 points.
