Last Update: 11/18/2009 7:50 pm
With the high school football season heading into the second week of the playoffs, the number of Bob Hurley Auto Family Players of the Week has been increased by another with the naming of Union WR Thomas Roberson as this weeks award winner. Roberson has been solid all season, and this week his touchdown catch and run ignited a Union comeback after falling behind upset minded Claremore last Friday.
Roberson will be going to the University of Tulsa to extend his playing career, but in the meantime, Roberson and his teammates are gearing up for another chance to defend its 2008 6A Oklahoma title.
Roberson joins 10 others who have already been named Bob Hurley Player of the Week, and is now eligible for the Player of the year Award to be announced at the Channel 2 studios December 9th.
