Famed surgeon Dr. James Andrews will be in charge of the repair, with an expected rehab period of 5 to 6 months. Bradford addressed the media today to talk about this decision. With teammates surrounding him at the podium for support, Bradford mentioned how tough it was to make the decision to leave college football. Bradford did say however he would not leave the team, and will rehab in Norman to be with his teammates as the season winds down.
Bradford did not totally rule out a comeback to college football, but said that would happen only if the surgery does not goes as planned. A return would only happen if surgery prevents him from entering the NFL draft this April, and scouts asked him to return for one more year with the Sooners.
OU goes the rest of the season with Landry Jones as the starting quarterback, starting with the home game against Kansas State this saturday evening in Norman. game time is 6pm. OU is a big favorite.
