NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - Oklahoma sophomore Blake Griffin has been named Big 12 Men's Basketball Player of the Week and teammate Willie Warren is Rookie of the Week.
Griffin, a 6-10 forward, led the Sooners to the Dick's Sporting Goods NIT Season Tip-Off championship, averaging 25 points, 18 rebounds and three assists in victories over UAB and Purdue in New York City.
He had 32 points and 15 rebounds against the Blazers and 18 points and 21 rebounds against the Boilermakers.
Warren, a 6-4 guard, averaged 14 points, two rebounds and two assists in Oklahoma's NIT victories, including a career-high 22 points against Purdue.
