Shrimp Scampi from The Green Onion

Shrimp Scampi from The Green Onion

6-10 large shrimp
1 Tbsp. olive oil
1/2 of a lemon
2 Tbsp. butter
3/4 c. white wine
1 tsp. of garlic
Pinch of minced parsley
Salt to taste
White pepper-to taste

Coat a saute pan in the olive oil and bring to medium to high heat.
Add the shrimp, and let cook about 5-10 seconds on each side until the color changes.
(Note: do not cook all the way in this step or the shrimp will become very tough).
Add the butter and garlic.
When the butter is melted, add the remaining ingredients and cook for roughly 4-5 minutes until shrimp is cooked.
(Note: for a thicker sauce and 1 tbsp of heavy cream)
Season with salt and white pepper to taste and serve.
