Dilly Deli's Paradise Pumpkin Pie

DILLY DELI’S
PARADISE PUMPKIN PIE

1 – 9 inch pastry pie shell

Cream Cheese Base:
1- 8 oz pkg cream cheese, softened
¼ cup granulated sugar
½ tsp vanilla extract
1 egg, beaten
*In a small mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, sugar and vanilla. Cream together well. Add beaten egg and mix thoroughly. Spread mixture on the bottom of pie shell. Set aside.
Pumpkin Mixture:
1 ¼ cups pumpkin puree
1 cup evaporated milk
½ cup granulated sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp ground cinnamon
¼ tsp ground ginger
¼ tsp ground nutmeg
1 pinch salt
*In a medium bowl, combine pumpkin, milk, sugar, beaten eggs and spices. Mix well. Pour mixture over the cream cheese layer.

Bake in a 350 degree oven for ~ 1 hour or until center is set. Cool on a wire rack, then brush top with ¼ cup maple syrup.
