Janis from Porter wants to know how to record her favorite shows now that she has her converter box. She says "Using a DTV converter box how do you tape shows which are now the 2-1, 6-1, 8-1? My tv won't pick up the new numbers."
You'll first need to be sure your converter box is installed properly. Set your converter box to channel 3 and use the converter box remote to access all the channels. You'll also need to perform a channel scan using your converter box remote.
From there you'll attach your antenna to the converter box, the converter box to your VCR, and the VCR to your tv.
There are two different set ups you can use depending on whether you want to record the channel you're watching or record a channel while viewing a different one.
