An Owasso couple is in jail accused of leaving their two foster kids locked outside in the cold and rain for more than five hours Saturday night.
According to an arrest report, a neighbor called 911 just before midnight and said a teenage girl had been sitting outside a home for hours.
The report said when the officer pulled up to the house, the girl was sitting on the ground shivering with no shoes on.
She told police that she and her brother were ordered out of the home and the doors were locked.
The documents state that the officer called Garold and Sherry McMillian on their cell phones.
They arrived a short while later and told police they went to Collinsville with their biological children to have dinner and watch a movie with friends.
Sherry McMillian said she didn't feel comfortable leaving the children inside the home because they would take kitchen knives and try to harm themselves.
The probable cause affidavit said the couple told officers they had been having discipline problems with the foster children and needed a break.
Garold initially told officers he didn't see anything wrong with leaving the children outside comparing it to time at a football game.
The couple was arrested for child abuse.
The 14 and 15-year-old teenagers were taken to the Laura Dester Children's Center, as well as a biological child of the couple.
The McMillians are due in court on November 24th.
