OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — The fired founder of the Oklahoma City-based charity Feed The Children is suing the charity and its board of directors to get his job back.
The wrongful termination lawsuit by Larry Jones claims he was fired Friday as president out of "personal malice" and spite. It asks for reinstatement, compensation for the lost value of his contract and punitive damages.
A dollar amount was not specified.
Jones also wants a restraining order to prevent the charity from using his name, likeness or voice unless he approves.
Attorneys for Feed The Children say they're already doing everything possible to remove Jones' name and image from anything related to the charity.
Jones founded the hunger relief organization in 1979.
