Bartlesville man arrested on drug charges

A Bartlesville man is in custody on drug possession charges.

Jevares Kantrell Creggett, 28, faces charges of possession of maurijuana, possession of a controlled substance while in the presence of a minor and possession of drug paraphernalia.

During a probable cause hearing held at the Washington County Courthouse on Wednesday, the judge set Creggett's bond at $25,000.

According to the affidavit, on Tuesday after having served a search warrant at a residence located on the 500 block of S.E. Seneca Ave., police entered the residence and seized 152.6 grams of maurijuana which police said Creggett had attempted to flush down the toilet, a wooden box containing "suspect loose maurijuana" and a digital scale.

Police also found a plastic bag containing three small yeallow tablets with "V" imprints, said to be "ecstacy," said the report.

According to the affidavit, three minor children and Creggett's wife were in the house during his possession of drugs.

Creggett's next court appearance is set for Dec. 4.
