Today's Kid Reporter
Voting Begins Monday, November 9, and the Winner Is Announced Thursday, November 12.
NEW YORK - November 5, 2009 - - After thousands of submissions, and intense rounds of semifinals, America has selected four tenacious and talented kids to get the chance at becoming Today's Kid Reporter. The four contenders were introduced to millions of viewers this morning on "Today," and now, they are each faced with the challenge to cover and report a story on America's favorite morning program.
Samantha Isler from Tulsa, OK; Brodie Myers from Stillwater, OK; Deidra Shores from Memphis, TN and Jack Hennessy from Naperville, IL will each present their complete report live on "Today," Monday, November 9. Viewers can log on to TODAYshow.com starting Monday at 9:30 a.m. ET until Wednesday at 5 p.m. ET to vote for their favorite pint-sized reporter. On Thursday, November 12, the winner will be revealed live on "Today." The champion kid will receive Today's Kid Reporter title, plus get a weeklong vacation on Carnival Cruise Line's newest ship. The three runners-up also receive the cruise.
Today's Kid Reporter contest began September 14, and boys and girls age 8-12 were eligible to submit one-minute videos to "Today." Staffers narrowed down the entrants to 16 semifinalists and America chose the four finalists.
