Following the progress of the I-44 expansion in Tulsa

Last Update: 3/27/2009 11:40 am
Oklahoma Department of Transportation, ODOT, officials say the stretch of I-44 between Riverside and Yale is one of the oldest sections of interstate in Oklahoma.

Karen lives near the project and is all for the improvements but wants to know more about the plans and timeline. She says "We live 1 and 1/2 blocks from the project. We have tried to get information and a site map but can't find anything. Could you guide us to the right place?"

There is an overview of the project on the ODOT web site under the traffic advisories section.

You'll find functional plans, traffic advisories and pictures from the corridor.

Whether you live nearby or are an interested taxpayer that's where you'll find the most up-to-date information.

The final design phase is still underway, the entire project is scheduled for completion in 2012.
