Some laws are high profile like improving the Lemon Law for Oklahoma new car buyers and making driver's tests in English only. But Penny wants to see them all and wrote to say "I'm trying to find a Web site that spells out all the new laws. But no luck."
It certainly isn't as easy as a Google search. But working with Legislative staff we found the way.
You start at the Oklahoma Legislature home page.
http://www.lsb.state.ok.us/
In the center column click "Status of Measures"
On the left about 3/4 of the way down click on "Effective Date"
Under "Measure Type" click the box next to "All Types"
Next column click "Either"
Then under "Date"
"From" enter 11/1/09
Don't populate the "To" box
Hit "Enter"
You'll need to click on each and toward the top of the page there will be a clickable "Bill Summary" or in the case of SBs "House Amendment" to read about each new law.
Legislative staff also tells me there are efforts in the works to expand open government reforms so it's easier for people to follow bills and see how legislators vote on the issues.
