Here's an idea for a night out that doesn't break the bank.
The new trend sweeping the country is a playdate for adults.
An Atlanta company helped create the a unique formula for an alternative to adult night life.
Playdate started a few years ago and organizers said they went from 85 attendees to more than 400.
Atlanta Playdate participant Don Reif said, "It's a back in the day game. It feels good to play it again. Playdate gives adults an opportunity to put their adult problems on the shelf for a moment and play like a kid again."
Organizers attribute the success partly to people looking for low-cost entertainment during tough times.
Venues have now popped up in nearly twenty states with signature games like Monopoly, Scrabble and Jenga.
Playdate has events right here in Tulsa.
In fact, an event is scheduled Saturday, October 17th, at the Fly Trap Music Hall.
